Death of the Author has just launched on Backerkit!

Death of the Author is a solo tarot journaling game about a Character fighting for agency in their story, against the wishes of their Author.

Play as the Character, who tries to wrest narrative control from the Author. At the end, no matter the story, the Character will confront their Author.

This game is a hack of my first solo tarot game, Anamnesis, with some twists to the original mechanics. One large difference is that the Character can change the prompts to gain more control over their narrative.

Death of the Author is crowdfunding on Backerkit from May 14 to May 28 to help fund the game’s development and print run, as well as allow the production of bonus materials if we hit stretch goals.
